This pearl necklace channels Sophie Bille Brahe’s minimalistic take on pearl jewellery.

“I love pearls but never really liked the look of classic pearl jewellery,” Sophie explains. “I wanted to break away from a very classic, ladylike notion of what pearl jewellery looked like and simply let the pearls do all the talking, without any unnecessary embellishment. It just sits right on your collarbone, so it’s quite sexy, too. I think that’s what makes it feel modern.”

The meeting points of the different sized pearls mimic the meeting of the sea and sky and the lock becomes integrated with the design. When locking the necklace, place ends inside the lock and press to hear a click. Open by separating the gold lock in the middle.

Hand-tied silk thread, which will relax and loosen slightly with wear, this is intentional for quality and longevity.
